The Wilderness Society
The Wilderness Society is committed to protecting, promoting, and restoring nature across the continent for the survival of all life on Earth. We do this through iconising our natural places by connecting people with nature and raising the profile of our unique land and seascapes, reducing our opponents power by shifting the power away from vested interests and destructive industries, and increasing community power by supporting and amplifying local community and First Nations voices. Our current campaign focus is on ensuring strong community rights and environmental protection in our new federal nature laws while locally we're working to end bauxite mining in the Northern Jarrah Forests and prevent fracking in the Kimberley.
