ACQUA COME ARIA

Hi, I’m Sonia, the mind and the hand of ACQUA COME ARIA.
I was born in Rome and I’ve lived there most of my life. Although Rome is a fascinating and vibrant city, my best memories are linked to the long summers spent in the small seaside villages of the Italian coast, walking on the beach breathing the salty air, listening to the sound of the waves while collecting shells, pebbles and rusty boat remains.
Then I moved to Western Australia where the ocean is with me everyday!
I’ve always had an urge to create things and when metalsmithing came along the way, I immediately knew that making jewellery was the right way to express my creativity and connect it to my love for everything ocean related.
Acqua come Aria is unique jewellery for people who breathe water and understand that behind the imperfections of a handmade piece there is care, time and passion.
