d squared glass art
Have you ever been somewhere or done something that just feels like 'home'?
This is how I felt the moment I stepped into my very first glass workshop. Glass has always intrigued me, in all its forms, so to be able to design and create my own glass art makes my heart sing.
Each piece is carefully considered before I start, with colours, glass styles and the firing process all forming part of the design impact. Most items are fired to at least 750C degrees, in two separate firings, to create the final piece. Some pieces may go through this process three or four times until the finished product is achieved.
I draw inspiration from natural elements and am enjoying the process and learning more and more about the medium of glass every day. Glass will always have the final say in how a item presents - just one more thing that I love about creating glass art.
