Michelle Pike - Fashion Illustrator

Michelle obtained a Masters Degree in Fashion Design and has over 20 years’ experience in the industry. Her work includes private commissions, commercial work as well as illustrations for books and magazines. Her illustrations combine an artful play with watercolour, pencils and soft pen lines.

Michelle’s passion is both in fashion and art. She enjoys collaborations with other designers and creatives in the fashion industry. Michelle uses her extensive experience as a Fashion Lecturer at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, South Africa, to help other budding Fashion Illustrators by presenting fashion illustration workshops and fashion design classes.

A supporter of charities, Michelle donates work for auction to raise funds for subjects close to her heart.

A highlight was a collaboration with The Perth Collective’s new book on social media How To Influence Your Creative Market. The two teamed together again for a sporty project at the Porsche Perth Centre. Her folio includes work printed in the Sunday Times, Tiger Airways magazine and a store window mural for Telstra Perth Fashion Festival and Elle et Lui designer shoes.

Michelle enjoys the challenge of live drawing sessions as hosted by Perth Racing of fashionistas and patrons, illustrating their fashionable outfits for them to take home their very own original piece of fashion art.
