Dominic's Workshop

Dominic is a young boy who lives in Perth, Western Australia. He is a bright and imaginative little guy but suffers difficulty completing everyday tasks due to having Autism, ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder. On top of these challenges he was born with a major heart defect (Transposition of the Great Arteries) and had to undergo a seven hour open heart surgery at the tender age of 4 days old.

Despite these setbacks, Dominic has found an absolute love of drawing. Taking time out to sit and draw helps calm him when distressed and keeps his busy mind focused. He sees the world in a unique, special way and his art is ever evolving.

His artwork has been sold internationally as well as domestically. All proceeds go toward funding his art supplies, therapies, communication aids and participation in inclusive activities.

Dominic is out to prove to the world that Autism doesn’t have to be a limitation and hopes to inspire other special needs kids to find their own inspiration.
