Fremantle Pottery

From childhood memories of digging clay from a riverbed and mixing it with sand, Rosie's passion for mud stuck with her and was rekindled like wildfire when she found the pottery wheel in 2015. It started with making pottery to use at home and in the kitchen, pasta bowls and colanders. Now Fremantle Pottery's range has grown to include larger sculptural pieces of ceramic art.

Being born and brought up the coast, Rosie combines her love for the ocean and all the underwater creatures in her uplifting artwork. From deep sea blues and rich greens to refreshing WA inspired turquoises.

You can find soulful functional stoneware; from berry bowls and garlic graters, to personality filled teapots, cookie jars, larger ramen bowls and textured vases. These have all been tested in my own kitchen for years :)

Exciting hot pieces are ash glazed or using a flaming raku technique, these one off artworks are perfect to decorate the home; to stimulate thought and conversation.

Everything is handmade by Rosie Button, in Fremantle; all the firing, making of glazes and recycling is done in her Japanese inspired zen space.

Everything is created with sustainability in mind, using eco-friendly practices to reduce environmental impact. Non-toxic glazes, energy saving kiln, recycling clay scraps and water saving techniques.

Rosie Button is excited to talk to you about anything and everything ocean and pottery related. Please feel free to pat the pots!!
