It all started in 2021, with a turning point.
At 128kg and feeling disconnected from life, Benny Tilbury made a decision that would not only change his health—but also ignite a business that’s now fast becoming a fan favourite at local markets across Perth. That decision? The carnivore diet. After months of eating seasoned steaks, Benny hit a wall. His meals had become repetitive, and he craved something different to reignite his motivation.

So he turned to store-bought jerky and biltong for variety—but a quick glance at the ingredients list changed everything.
"One day whilst consuming store bought products, I flipped over the packet and was shocked as I read the excessive amount of GMOs, numbers, excessive sugars and others of the like."
Determined to do better, Benny began experimenting in his own kitchen. His goal? To create a clean, flavoursome, and superior jerky alternative. What started as a personal pursuit quickly turned into something more. Friends and family were keen to try each new batch, some even offering to buy it. With demand growing faster than he could supply, Konvict Jerky was born.

Fast forward to today, and Konvict Jerky is in full commercial swing—with Benny now 48kg lighter and a whole lot happier.
